Diana Kramer, President and Publisher: Diana grew up in the newspaper business in Arizona where her family publishes a daily newspaper and two groups of weekly publications. Her broad community newspaper experience includes reporting, editing and advertising sales. She served as a publisher with the company before moving to Washington State in 1992. For more than 12 years she was executive director of Washington Newspaper Publishers Association, representing the state's community daily and weekly newspapers. Diana earned a bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. David Suffia, Executive Editor: David is a life-long resident of South King County and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Washington. He is a veteran journalist with broad experience who has won dozens of professional awards for his writing and editing. He spent 15 years as a reporter, editor, editorial writer and columnist with The Seattle Times. He also has served as publications director for Group Health Cooperative, and was editor of the Puget Sound Business Journal. He most recently served as a public relations director for The Boeing Company. Over the years, he has written a general interest column that appeared in newspapers throughout the Puget Sound area, including Seatttle, Bellevue, Renton, Kent, Auburn and Redmond. James Bavendam, VP/General Manager: James has been a resident of King County since 1987. He has a B.A. in Communication from Ohio State, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Iowa. He has taught communication courses at the University of Iowa, Cornell College and the University of Puget Sound. In 1990 he founded Bavendam Research, specializing in organizational communication and employee behavior. He brings a broad spectrum of management skills and interests. Denis Law, Founder: Denis founded Puget Sound Publishing Co. in 1995 after selling a group of weekly newspapers in Seattle, and launched the Renton Reporter, Kent Reporter and Auburn Reporter. He is also the former publisher of the Sammamish Valley News, Kirkland Courier, Redmond Reporter and the Bothell Reporter. He is past chairman of the Renton Chamber of Commerce, past president of Renton Rotary and served on the boards of the Kirkland and Redmond chambers. No longer associated with Puget Sound Publishing, Denis is the Mayor of the City of Renton. His contributions will always be valued. |
